Our timetable is flexible and subject to change pending the needs of the children and group dynamics.

The day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 3:30pm Monday to Thursday.

On allocated Friday’s children finish the day at 1:30pm.

Parents pack their child(ren’s) lunch and around midday we sit as a group to have our lunch.

Relaxation Time for the children then follows our lunch period.

Snack times are flexible and we set aside specific areas for children to have their snacks with friends. We encourage children to conclude their ‘snacking’ prior to 11:00 am, due to lunch approaching, and then no later than around 2:15 pm to finish of daily experiences and readiness toward packing up.
Packing Up
is around 2:45 pm.

Interruptions to children’s learning is minimised with inside/outside play (learning) operating concurrently. Subject to weather. Community Time (Group Time) occurs in the middle and at the end of the day/session.

Early Entry & Pre-Entry to Kindergarten

Early Entry enrolment usually involves sharing reports from support agencies and filling in a referral for Services through the Adelaide Hills Office of the Department of Education and Child Development (DECD). Services for children with special needs include Speech pathology, Psychology, Family Support and Special Education assistance (funding for Preschool Support Worker salary). Please speak with the kindergarten Director for more detail.

Pre-Entry to Kindergarten is a site funded programme where families have the opportunity to have their child(ren) attend 2 hours a fortnight of kindergarten, prior to their eligible year of kindergarten. This program operates together with our kindergarten program. The pre-entry program is reviewed annually and is subject to available spaces as well as staffing. Please see a staff member for further details.

Aboriginal Children and Children under the Guardianship of the Minister are eligible to start kindergarten from the age of 3 years
